 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Many programs administered by the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut involve volunteers, simultaneously providing services to older adults, and giving them the opportunity to contribute.

CHOICES

By volunteering with CHOICES, you can become an integral member of the growing effort to educate older adults about Medicare, health care fraud and consumer rights.

To volunteer in the CHOICES program, contact Leslie Pruitt at 203-785-8533.

RSVP
Individuals 55 and over are encouraged to join the over 500,000 RSVP volunteers nationwide. RSVP participants offer their skills, experience and talents to schools, libraries, non-profits, senior centers, museums and many other community organizations, helping to strengthen and improve their communities.

Please call Josephine Lifrieri, RSVP Director, (203) 752-3059 for more information.

Experience Corps

Volunteers 55 and over tutor students in grades K-3 in Hamden elementary schools. Experience Corps members work an average of 12-20 hours per week helping students to improve their reading and writing skills, working with small groups, in the classroom, and one-on-one.
